Patrick Madden in November

Patrick Madden of Signature Yarns in Toronto will be presenting about the life/work balance of running a small business, the importance of volunteering and making time for creativity. Patrick will also have an assortment of his hand knitting yarn collections for sale at the meeting.

Kate Atherley in October

Kate Atherley on Math for Knitters.
She’ll be sharing tips and techniques for handling the numbers problems that come up in knitting: from yarn requirements to buttonhole spacing and instructions like “increase 12 sts evenly across”, to questions of and issues around gauge. And if you’d rather knit than spend time with a calculator, she’ll also talk about ways to avoid the numbers entirely!

September Speaker confirmed

Upper Canada Fibreshed

The new TKG season will open on 16 September 2015.

Jennifer & Becky of the Upper Canada Fibreshed will speak about yarn and fibre available locally and of production systems within a 250 mile radius of Toronto that span from farm to fashion.

WWKiP day 2015 – Saturday June 13

WWKiP day is an annual international celebration of knitting and other fibre arts with almost 1000 separate events in countries around the globe. It’s about sharing the experience of knitting, with knitters and non-knitters alike!
