Current Volunteer Roles
The guild has a number of committees that work on various aspects of guild business. This is a great option if you want to be more involved with the guild but do not want to sit on the board of directors. Our current committees are:
- Communications Committee – oversees our social media, newsletter, and website, and develops a cohesive communications strategy for the guild.
- Programming, Outreach, Events, and Registration (POER) Committee – oversees our monthly meeting content, our LYS and other partnerships, upcoming events, and our member registration.
Committees typically meet once a month for an hour.
Have an idea for a committee you don’t see here? Let’s talk! Committees must have a Chair and a Secretary, and committee membership can be drawn from Executive members, Board members, Guild members, paid resources (where necessary), Volunteers, Local yarn shop owners/employees, independent dyers, designers, and other stakeholders in the fibre community. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
