BeadFX On September 17th we will hear from Marg Yamanaka of BeadFx. Marg is very experienced in all aspects of beading including knitted jewelry and many other types of jewelry. She will describe her business and show us how to use beads to make wonderful handmade creations.

Japanese Knitting Alison Rose is a guild member and enthusiastic fan of exquisite knitting patterns available from Japan. Alison will speak on Japanese knitting techniques and designs. Wellington Fibres Donna Hancock the founder of Wellington Fibres, will be our guest speaker. Donna is on the faculty of the University of Guelph and is the founder and owner of a working farm raising mohair goats. Wellington Fibres also operates a spinning mill which produces exquisite mohair yarns from the farm’s goats.

A fun, informative, and social night. The executive presented answers to questions received regarding the guild, introduced the executive, newsletter committee members and webmaster. Opportunity to meet and mingle with other members at a social in the café.
