TKG hosts virtual Knit Nights once a month from October through May. Meetings are free for members and do not require pre-registration. Knit Nights are moderated by members. TKG Knit Nights are scheduled for 7pm to 8:30pm EST on the following dates for 2024-2025. Members should log in to the Membership Hub to access the Knit Night Zoom meeting link.
Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month from September to June. All meetings will be available as virtual meetings via Zoom, and some will be offered as a hybrid meeting with in-person attendance available as well. Each meeting listing specifies whether the meeting will be a Zoom Webinar or Hybrid. In-person attendance for hybrid meetings will be at Innis College, 2 Sussex Ave, Toronto. Learn how to make simple knitted items—garments, mittens, toys, gnomes, and more—very special and totally unique. In this playful session Fiona Ellis will demonstrate techniques to add whimsical elements, tone-on-tone texture, or highlights to patterning in a sophisticated way. This will be a hybrid meeting (both online and in-person).
Knitting is fun. But if we knit improperly or to extremes—you know, that holiday deadline!—we can injure ourselves. Put down the needles while this occupational therapist shows us how to knit safely.
A guided tour of the new ROM exhibit, highlighting some of the most visually intoxicating examples of artistry, community, and sustainability in Canadian-made quilts.
