Current Volunteer Roles
Committee Member
The Guild has a number of committees that work on various aspects of Guild business. This is a great option if you want to be more involved with the Guild but do not want to sit on the board of directors. Our current committees are:
- Communications Committee – oversees our social media, newsletter, and website, and develops a cohesive communications strategy for the Guild.
- Community Engagement Committee – oversees our monthly meeting content, our sponsors, upcoming events, and our member registration.
Committees typically meet once a month for an hour.
Have an idea for a committee you don’t see here? Let’s talk! Committees must have a chair and a secretary, and committee membership can be drawn from executive members, board members, Guild members, paid resources (where necessary), volunteers, local yarn shop owners/employees, independent dyers, designers, and other stakeholders in the fibre community. Email info@torontoknittersguild.ca to get started.
