What goes on at TKG Meetings?
Meetings typically start at 7:30 p.m. with announcements of Guild or community happenings, members greeting each other and catching up in the Zoom chat, followed by the main program. Typically, there is a Question and Answer period after the program.
Show + Tell
Post photos of what you are working on during the meeting – or what you have recently finished – in our Ravelry group, and check out what other members have been making. If Ravelry is not currently available to you, join our community on social media by following the hashtag and tagging your project photos with #tkgspotlight.
Main Program
Our guest speakers come from all different areas of the fibre community and speak on a wide variety of topics. From yarn dyers, pattern designers, shop owners, fibre farmers, and more, we continue to be wowed by the wealth of knowledge and fascinating stories our guests share with us!
Prize Draw
From time to time there is an item donated by our speaker or by a vendor, and when this happens a winner will be selected from the list of members in attendance at the meeting. In addition, there is typically an exclusive, limited-time offer for our members such as a discount code or free download.
Learn and get inspired!
There is lots of inspiration at the Toronto Knitters Guild – from speakers and from other members. And if you want to perfect or learn new techniques, there is no better place.
