What happens at TKG Meetings?
A typical meeting starts with Announcements of Guild or community happenings, followed by Show + Tell, a Raffle Prize draw, and then the main program. Typically, there is a Question and Answer period after the program, followed by a chance to meet the speaker, mingle and socialize, and a bit more shopping at the vendor table.
Meetings are preceded with time to socialize. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
SHOW + TELL
Show off your latest project and see what others are knitting — an opportunity for all members to show off their latest finished objects to inspire each other with creativity.
Sign up at the front of the hall before the meeting. Show and Tell items are featured on the website so that members can refer back to find patterns or yarns that were showcased.
Help with a challenging project
Dr. Knit or another experienced knitter is on-site to offer assistance with your projects.
Raffle Prize Draw
At meetings, there is a raffle for yarn, books, and other goodies with proceeds towards TKG activities.
Tickets can be purchased before the meeting. $1 each or 3 for $2.
Members leave items they no longer love on the table. For a donation of just $1 each, any of these items can be yours. All proceeds go to support Guild activities.
At most meetings, a Vendor is on-site offering yarn or other fibre-related goodies. There is time to browse and shop before and after the meeting.
Learn and get inspired!
