September Guild Meeting Speaker & Vendor:
Lake Knit Yarns

We are pleased to kick-off the first meeting of the season with a visit from Christa Wales, the owner/artist behind Lake Knit Yarns, of Ajax, Ontario. Christa is a knitter, crocheter, spinner and woodturner. She seeks a connection with our history, in the traditional way things were made, and creates them in a modern, digital world, being conscious of the environmental impact.

Christa will talk to us about her influences; from her family of makers to the inspiration she finds in the wilderness, still very much part of Canada. Celebrating the colours of nature as we head into autumn seems most appropriate for our September meeting, so please join us for a very Canadian kind of evening.

Christa will bring a selection of her hand dyed yarns and notions, including a variety of yarn weights from Pebble MCN fingering, Sparkle Sock fingering, Shoreline Worsted Eco, and Boulder Chunky. She will also have shawl kits, gradient cakes, 3-skein gradient sets, mini skein sets, rulers, DPN holders, Lake Knit patterns, along with bins of sale yarn.
