DESCRIPTION:Susan Fohr\, Textile Museum of Canada \nSusan Fohr is an avid knitter\, spinner\, sewer and natural dyer who lives in Toronto. Susan will share how her work as a museum educator has shaped her identity as both an educator and a maker. \nShe is currently the Education Programs Coordinator at the Textile Museum of Canada and formerly an historic interpreter at Black Creek Pioneer Village. She will highlight influential exhibitions and public programming initiatives that have revealed the powerful ways in which traditional craft practices have evolved to address contemporary issues. \nVendor Tables – Robin Hunter\, Mary Pat McDonald\, and Tanya Preobrazhenski (Artisaknity) \nFor the April meeting\, we have a micro market of patterns\, yarns\, and jewelry; all meant to spark our creative aspirations!\nRobin Hunter will have knitter’s notions and patterns for sale. The notions include a Colour Tool Grid and the hard to find Buttonhole Gauge. Patterns will be on sale for 50% of the marked price.  Payment for Robin Hunter Designs is cash only.\nMary Pat McDonald will have colourful stash yarn\, and kits with her two patterns.  Cash and cheques are acceptable payment.\nTanya Preobrazhenski from Artisaknity\, will have an array of jewelry for knitters\, featured in Vogue Knitting. Bring additional beauty and charm to your knitting with enamel sheep accessories from the Artisaknity Bijouterie collection.  Select from pendants\, rings and earrings.  The stitch markers are perfect as zipper pulls and key chains.  Tanya is offering members a 20% discount on jewelry at the meeting.  Cash only please.
